Meet the beautiful Vidalia!! This stunner is looking for her forever home. Vidalia is a Weimaraner and is learning all things "puppy" in her foster home. Vidalia tends to be a little shy at first and gets overwhelemed with a lot of comotion or chaos, but she is starting to settle and learn the ropes. Vidalia has been good with other dogs, she has a 25 pound canine sister that she is starting to play with. She is fine with big dogs as well, but does take her a little longer to warm up to them. She loves stuffed toys, bones, and bully sticks. She has done well with potty training and is using a crate/pen combo when left alone and at night. She has met the resident cat and at this time doesn't have any interest in her. She is friendly with all people. She is learning how to walk on a leash, a skill that is not yet mastered. Vidalia eats well, loves treats, and is learning recall. She is a little jumpy still but learning manners and how to appropriately greet people. She is a little senstive when being corrected by her other big canine foster siblings but learning how to be an approprite cute little sister. Vidalia is suppodely a full breed Weimaraner, but we do not know this for sure. Weimaraners are balls of large energy with friendly and bold personalities. They crave exercise and love to run, hike, or join you in any outdoor activity. They can become frustrated and destructive without an outlet for their boundless spirit. While friendly and eager to please, these silver dogs can also be stubborn and require consistent training. Ideally suited for active families without small children, Weimaraners thrive on camaraderie with their trusted humans and are known for being loyal, fun-loving companions. Please keep in mind there are many factors to consider when choosing the right match for a puppy, so an application cannot guarantee adoption. Nor do we work on a "first come first served" basis, but rather strive to find the best match for the personality of each dog. At the time of adoption, the puppy will be current on vaccinations and deworming. He or she will come with a pre-scheduled appointment at our vet to be spayed or neutered that the adopter is obligated to keep. The puppy will also be microchipped at this time. Please consider the time and effort it takes to raise a puppy. Foster puppies are typically NOT potty trained. They require time and patience from their adopter. If you are NOT serious about adoption and have not discussed the possiblility of adding a new canine to your home with ALL live in family members, DO NOT APPLY. Volunteers spend countless hours reviewing applications, calling references, and scheduling home visits. Please be sure you are ready to add a puppy to your home BEFORE applying.
