Yo yo whadddup Buffalo it’s me Slimī¸

I’m just like the Slim Shady you already know and love but … Southern.

I’m small, scrappy, I run my mouth, but underneath it all I’m just a sensitive guy with mommy issues.

So let me start from the top. I grew up in Uvalde, TX with a family that I thought was the bees knees. At first it was pretty cool that my mom never cared where I was and let me stay out til all hours of the night. All my furiends would have to be home for supper but I just kept roaming the streets looking for trouble. My favorite past times are pooping on lawns and laying the mack down on the neighborhood b******. I uh mean female dogs, sorry. This whole good boy thing is an adjustment.

So one day I was out doing my thang when the cops picked me up for trespassing. Apparently they didn’t realize I peed on the street sign and therefore own the whole street… imbeciles. I sat in the clink for days hoping my mom would realize something was wrong and come save me. She never came. My cellies informed me that if she didn’t come soon, I wasn’t going to make it out…ever. Just as I was giving up hope, a familiar face showed up saying they were there for me… It was my neighbor. The victim of my endless lawn poops. She must’ve really liked them after all. She took me to her home and kept me captive. At first my only goal was to get back out on the street. I was darting for the door every time it opened with no success. BUT THEN I learned what cuddling was… I was willing to give up all my street cred to keep on cuddling. And that’s just what I did.

With the help of my neighbor, I bought a one way ticket to Buffalo to find my forever family. I’m looking for humans who will never let me out of their sight, never stop touching me, and always keep me off those damn streets. Right now I’m renting a spot in Tonawanda. But there’s a lot of other guys and gals here that I have to compete with for the precious precious cuddle time. I don’t have any beef with them but I would really love to be somebody’s sole focus from dusk til dawn, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

After leaving my rough and tumble past behind I have learned to walk on a leash & go in a crate. I am 100% potty trained, good in a car, and love everyone I meet. As I type this with my own 2 paws I am curled up in my landlord’s lap waiting impatiently for my forever mom or dad to hit “Apply for Slim”.

If you took the time to read my story, you already have showed me you care more than my mom ever did. I am shaking with excitement at the idea of starting a brand new straight and narrow life together.

Mic drop

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application at www.sadiesrescue.org

Please keep in mind there are many factors to consider when choosing the right match for a dog, so an application cannot guarantee adoption. Nor do we work on a "first come first served" basis, but rather strive to find the best match for the personality of each dog.

As part of our adoption process, references both personal and veterinarian will be checked. Sadie's also requires a home visit before we adopt any of our dogs out; therefore we only adopt to our local WNY region.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting as placing each foster dog in the best home takes time and effort by our volunteers.
